Art & Music Therapy
The Dream Builders Project has been working with the Mark Taper - Johnny Mercers Artists Program at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles since 2016. In addition to the amazing medical care that Children’s Hospital Los Angeles provides its patients, this comprehensive program provides therapies that assist in healing the whole child. The program uses paint, markers, musical instruments and other expressive art therapies to achieve better health outcomes, alleviate anxiety, provide psychological support and offers a creative outlet for self-expression. This specific program goes above and beyond and brings together local artists, performers, teachers and therapists to meet the diverse needs of their patient population.
Our organization has successfully donated over $95,000, hosted small arts & crafts events for patients (inpatients and outpatients), as well as donated countless boxes of art and music supplies to directly assist the program!
